Hi, I changed my coolant to prestone long life last September and all through the fall, cold winter and average spring the low level light acted like it should. Now in the hot and humid summer the light does not want to shut off until the engine is warmed up. Then it goes out and acts normally even if the van is shut off for a short time. I was thinking the coolant conductivity had changed with age but with the previous scientific posting from a fellow listee I had second thoughts. Anyway I shorted the level switch connector with a jumper wire and the light kept on blinking....so it's not the coolant conductivity in my case.
