<DIV></DIV>&gt; Has anyone had any experience increasing the coolant volume by installing
<DIV></DIV>&gt;a larger radiator or an additional one?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt; I'd like to keep my 1984 1.9L from getting too hot in the mountains this
<DIV></DIV>&gt;summer.

<DIV></DIV>&gt; Thanks!

<DIV>Here's an idea I have been exploring for some time now, perhaps one of you highly tech types can take it from here.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>Imagine, if you will, or better yet go to an RV dealer who sells desiel pusher motor homes and examine the installation of the rad. in a rear desiel.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>You'll notice that it sits at the very rear of the coach. The air is brought up and over the engine and out through the rad to the rear of the coach. Most have a direct drive fan (no fan clutch).</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>An interesting thought. Suppose one purchased a rad. the was low and wide and one could modify the rear of the Vanagon between the tail lights with lovers and modify the sheet metal to accomidate the rad. I realy don't think it would be that difficult.</DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>I can tell you this much: those 300/330/350 hp cat desiels do not over heat on any mountian or in any climate.</DIV>
