Only buy an aircooled that has the BA-6 gas heater in it--
like mine.  Oops, mine isn't for sale.  ;-)

From experience ('61, '67, '76, '81) there is no heat without
the aux heater.  In my '76 people would ask "when is it going
to get warm" and I'd tell them "April"....

I can't comment on buying the heater and retrofitting it.  Mine
was factory-installed.  That's why I traded-in the '76 on
the '81 back in January of '82.  Mine needed a new flame
detector switch at about year 2 and has performed flawlessly
ever since.
