Attempting to install a new thermostat today I ran into a few problems.
Discovering that I need to remove the entire thermostat housing from the
water pump housing( I couldn't get the thremostat cover past the nearby
exhaust pipe), part of the water pump housing began to crack at the threads
where the bolt that secures the thermostat housing goes through.  Now, in
order  for me to replace the thermostat I can't get the housing off as the
water pump housing will definitly crack all the way through at the
threads..............anyone that understands what I just typed and that has
a spare water pump housing sitting around please contact me with your asking
price.  I thought the repair today was going to be relatively
easy.............but with my van they never seem to be.
