Judging by the performance of mine in this 95 degree (that's Fahrenheit)
heat and vertical sunshine at my 32-degree latitude , it's about, oh, say 5.

Anybody know offhand what the BTU rating is of the factory A/C in the
Vanagon? If so, please give model year and source of the info if
available. I am thinking that 6000 BTU is only a small fraction of the
factory A/C capacity.
