Awhile back I took the middle bench seat out of my '85 vanagon. when I put
it back in, iwas messin' with the position a little. I set it in facing
back and found that the mounting rail would need to move 4-6 inches (one
floorboard groove).  a friend with a '73 bus said he mounted his middle
seat sideways along the wall opposite the sliding door.

Any body ever try these and any suggestions/recomendation?
