John,

Technically speaking, it has been proported to bump your octaine a tad,
but I won't swear to that.

What I do know is, it will clean the snot out of you injector's, and
keep them clean, as well as lubricate your valve components, like your
valve stems and guides, preventing premature wear of said items.

I use a pint to a tank load, especially when it's�road trip time, and
in this God awful heat we been having.
