My local Volkswagen dealer parts department, Citiwest Motors, Ottawa, 
ON, informed me today that very soon there will be no more rebuilt 2.1 litre 
water-cooled Vanagon engines available from Volkswagen Canada.  They are 
running short on supply of good cases so will eliminate the rebuilding of 
these engines soon.  Soooooooooo, all you private rebuilders and junk yard 
rats start looking for rebuildable 2.1 cases !  Heads up !!
