The shifter on my '87 van is sloppy and makes a buzzing/rattling noise as I accellerate. Seems like the spring has lost it's tension? The rattling noise from the shifter is more annoying than the slop . Does the shifter rebuild kit that some of the list vendors offer fix the buzzing and rattling along with the slop in the shifter?
