I found out my '87 van has an alarm installed
How did I find out? Well, it won't start. you hear a
couple of clicks but nothing gets to the starter.
and every couple of turns, a chirping sound would come
from somewhere, like an alarm being armed.
Found the alarm, removed it.
still won't start
have checked the relay box above the coil - has power
going in and out

There's no power getting to the solenoid lower amp
wire (the one that plugs in to the small post, not the
one that bolts to the solenoid) as read by my
voltmeter.

Any suggestions?
Van has been out of comission for almost two weeks,
I'm starting to get frustrated. Thanks in advance.
