Just purchased an '89 model van from a wholesaler.  Either the wholesaler or the PO has removed the chrome window strips (probably to improve the appearance for resale).  I must admit the windows look better without them.

Question ???  Has anyone tried going without them.  Should I be worried about window leaks .....or worse, windows falling out without the strips in place.

(Experienced replies appreciated.)
