As promised last week, I can now happily announce that you no longer have to
pay $60 for a set of good ignition wires for your watercooled Vanagon!

The "genuine VW" spark plug wires sold by Volkswagen in Europe are
manufactured for them by a certain large German company and then packaged in
VW boxes.  I now have a limited quantity of those wires, without the VW
packaging, for a fraction of the price.

Whereas the Bosch aftermarket wires are $59.95 (that's at my discounted
price; they retail for $80), and the Genuine VW ones are even more than
that...

These are just $29.95 A SET.

My part number 09272 OE, for '85-91.  For '83-1/2-84 it's 09180 OE.  Order
on the website, or call toll-free. The lead time (no pun intended) is a good
6 months to get more once they're gone, as I have to first wait for another
production run, and then import them myself.  So if it's been a while since
you replaced your plug wires, you may want to order a set now while they're
in stock.
