Are all of the shuddering clutces sprung-center? This could be all/part of the problem. The shock-absorbing springs rebounding. Solid centers might just cure it... I had slightly oily KEP 2300lb clutch discs in my Toyota V6-powered Bay and my V6-powered Caravelle. Both would slip under full power in 1st (2nd in the 5spd Caravelle) but not under normal use; no sign of chattering. However my experience with diesel Toyota Corollas & Coronas (2 of each) was that they all seem to suffer from severe clutch chatter on takeoff. Good healthy clutch, flywheel etc. Again, may be a harmonic problem caused by sprung disc-centers. Nissan Skyline, Toyota Estima and LandCruiser manual diesels don't seem to do this.
