Got mine running too!

What's the deal with the 2.5" sport exhaust that you mention?  I'm not too
crazy about how mine sounds... Seems strange not to have that boxer sound
anymore....

Hi Gang-
We went out to dinner last nite in our '88...propelled by our new
TiiCo engine!  This thing rocks!
Our conversion also included the Weddle 5 speed, and we were able to
carry over our 2.50in. sport exhaust from the previous engine.
Beautiful music.
The TiiCo installation was a bigger job than I had anticipated, but I
did a lot of "tidying up" while the engine and tranny were out.
Killed alot of rust beginnings on edges of the undercarriage, and
sprayed 5 cans of 3M undercoat on everything in sight (I even got some
on the van).
To top it all off, I bought a logo for the back hatch from a Golf GTi.
Our Vanagon GL is now a Vanagon GTi!
Way Cool.
