John, just about every part for an 82 Diesel Vanagon is still available.
The engine and fuel injection parts are mostly the same as 81-85 Jettas,
etc.

Leaking in the injector area is most likely due to a metal fuel line not
tight enough or a leaking rubber return line. Big leaks are frequently
caused by a bad seal on the injection pump cold start lever.
