Tony and Listees: I had the same problem shortly after I did the Wilfy fix on the top vent seals replacement proceedure. Turns out that he little dab of silicone I used to seal up the filler neck breather nipple swelled up so big that it virtually prevented any air from passing through it. This is likely not your case, but some sort of blockage in that line is definitely causing your problem. It's the plastic pipe that is about 5/8" in diameter and runs pretty much parallel to the filler neck into the inner cavity of the van. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony Demille" <tony@CANDESA.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2001 4:38 PM Subject: > bad fill up flow... > when i attempt to fill up my gas tank at the station > i can't allow the flow to go full speed. if i do, i get back-flow > which triggers the auto-shut off in the handle. > i have to pump gas super-slow in order for this not to happen. > what's wrong? > > thanks > > t > > candesa > tony demille :: creative director > pixel slave liberator > > (v) 801.426.5450 > www.candesa.com
