Subject:Re: 75 MPH - unusual?

Although I cruise at 75mph all day long, I rarely have a chance to open up my
2.1 WBX to it's top speed of 523.8 mph. It sucks (pun intended) because I
can't get more than 89.783 mpg when I go any speed above 426.79 mph. I know
that the reason I can probably go this fast is because I have Porsche Fuchs
alloys with ZR rated tires on it. That gave be at least 100 mph or so. My van
is not a Westy and the middle seat has been taken out. That gave me at
another 76 mph in weight savings. I am currently considering taking out the
engine and trans for an even more significant weight savings as well as
improved gas mileage. I just have to find a hill long enough and going the
same direction I need to. I thought about increasing the gravitational pull
of the earth to increase my acceleration. However, I found out that it is
easier to pump up my tires to 200 psi instead.

Even my 16" Syncro can manage 70mph all day (as long as there are no hills)
with it's fire breathing 1.6 liters of turbocharged mayhem <ahem...>

I thank my engineer Mike Miller the computational data. It's Miller time.

Oops! Time for my medication.
