Frank - I'm using two 6 - LED fixtures manufactured by a company called Holly Solar. The problem I wanted to solve was needing two independent reading lights for the bottom bunk, plus have cargo lights for the back cargo area, plus have lights so I could see into the back storage lockers at night. To do all these jobs, the lights had to have a swivel neck so I could point it where needed. I ended up using 2 "CLW-6 Cabin Light" fixtures wired to my auxillary battery powered by a solar panel. If my math is correct, they each consume less than one watt! Here's the dealer I bought them from, and his prices are good. He also sells these fixtures in 1 LED, 3 LED, and other configurations as needed. The 1 and 3 LEDs don't have enough light to serve as cargo lights....just barely enough for reading, IMO. http://www.alfenterprises.com/sporting_goods/led_low_voltage_dc_lighting.htm These lights aren't cheap; $41 each. But they'll last without maintenence (or bulbs) for the life of your Westy and beyond. If you want a picture of how I mounted them, let me know and I'll put a snapshot up on the web. Happy motoring.
