While on the subject of drain plug washers: The standard washers that I get w/ my filters don't fit on my drain plug bolt. The bolt isn't a regular bolt like on my other vw's, so I'm not sure if it's an aftermarket item. It has something of a "built in" washer - a couple of flanges before the bolt head that don't let a copper washer seat flush. So I haven't been using a washer. Is there a different washer I should be using with this bolt? Is this a funny bolt? -James '90 Carat http://home.earthlink.net/~jamesvogl/site/main.html >From: Anthony Bailey <abailey@MAC.COM> >Reply-To: abailey@MAC.COM >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: type of oil and washer >Date: Fri, 14 Sep 2001 08:47:11 -0500 > >Hello all, a quick question for you about my '87 Vanagon.
