I prefer jackstands because the tire doesn't need to be on the car to use them. Usually when I need to jack up a car, I need the wheels off, so ramps don't work. Northern Tool sells 3 ton jackstands for like $20 a pair. I have 2 pair under my baja bug now. Peace out, Peder '84 Westy
