Ok, she's purring like a kitten.  What was it?  Well,
one of the wires going to the solenoid had
disconnected.

I knew that was the first thing I should have checked,
but after installing the new starter on the syncro, I
was still suffering from PTSD and dreaded even getting
under there and looking.

But faced with my wife leaving me if the van didnt
start in the morning, I crawled under and sure enough,
there was a disconnected wire.  Still took over 30
minutes to get it on good.  Who the hell enginered the
starter set up on the syncros?
