The van can tow quite a bit ... more than the brakes can safely stop.  I
have towed a 2000 pound boat/motor/trailer filled with stuff while moving
from Denver to Duluth.  Just take it easy and stay under 60 or so to
avoid overheating.

Not good for your engines longevity ... but can be done.
