Subject:83.5 no shift?
From:Daryl Christensen

More than likely the 3/4 slider is trying to hold a shift fork partially
engaged and both forks are trying to work against the detents against
each other..If you are sure the pilot bearing & clutch are disengaging
completely, then its tranny time...$995 exchange with a 3yr warranty.

Subject: 83.5 no shift?

Is it tranny time? 83.5 GL manual. Suddenly locks into gear. First,
reverse, third. second and fourth won't engage. If I mess w/ it for a
bit, I can get it into neutral but when I slide it (easily, BTW) into
any of the above gears, it's stuck again.

I've checked the linkage and all appears well, but...

Any thoughts?
