There have been several scenarios discussed. One person having the same problem had a pilot bushing that had disintegrated. Another person had the plastic ball guides worn out. Another person had the linkage askew. Still another had a clutch slave cylinder that was bleeding down when stopped at red lights with the clutch depressed. Take your choice: Stan Wilder On Tue, 16 Oct 2001 16:41:22 EDT Barry Armitage <MAX7959@AOL.COM> writes: I have an '89 Sycro and am having problems shifting into first gear. All the other gears are fine (I am using the low 1st gear to get rolling). I thought I remembered seeing this problem addressed previously on the list, but I couldn't find it in the archives. I believe it was solved by adjusting (rotating?) some part of the linkage. Does anyone have the details on this procedure? Barry Armitage [text/html]
