I've been running VW filters since owning my van.  However, I recently
decided to give a "motomaster" Canadian Tire brand oil filter a try (it was
a Sunday and VW was closed).  I haven't experienced anything different from
the other filters except the OCCASIONAL lifter noise (which I also
exerienced with the VW brand).  Am I doing harm to my engine because of this
oil filter????
