Nope. we don't know the exact state the cat is in, but will lock it into
one state or another when we look at it. So the cat is NEITHER dead or
alive, but just is.

a wavefunction will collapse to one value if it is observed, because the
nature of observing it will effect it. There is no way of observing
somethign without effecting it. Sorry, game over.
