Andrew,

Thanks for the suggestion.  I already checked that.  I should say, my
Sweetheart checked it when she reluctantly agreed to follow me for a
"unnecessary" drive through the countryside.  Then again, she thinks cars are
able to heal themselves.  I guess it is about time to climb under the thing
and check the ground bonding straps.  I am starting to wonder if the clutch
disk is not behaving like a Van der Graff generator.  I'll have to position
the rearview mirror so that I can see if my hair is standing on end as I
operate the gear selector.
