Any suggestions for removing the steering wheel will be appreciated. I have a "steering wheel puller" stashed at mom's which I could have sent to me, but I don't think it will help on the Vanagon as it has no grabbing hooks--just bolts one would screw into exiting threaded holes under the horn button. I don't believe the Vanagon wheel has these. I'm looking to install my new South African leather steering wheel from James Cohen. A real beauty she is. (jscohen@sprynet.com) I'll keep you posted. Also something isn't quite right in my steering column. I can feel a slight resistence and/or a slip like there's a shot or dry bearing in there--or maybe it's the coupling or universal in the column. Any experience on diagnostics here will be appreciated as well as at this point the problem is not obvious. TIA Jeff LA,CA
