I take my Syncro Westys to Larry'z Auto Works when I'm too lazy to fix it
myself or don't know how to.  His number is 916-447-2604.  They are located
at 500 X Street in Sacramento.  Don't recall if he does smog stuff as I live
in Woodland and have those done locally.  I take my F-car which has a boxer
engine in it to John's Automotive Center in Sactown at 1876 Stockton Blvd.
for it's smog cert., their number is 916-457-5718 ask for Mike.  I've never
seen a VW in the shop, but I think they would smog one.  They work on some
very nice cars and some very difficult cars to boot!   Hope this helps.
