I finally broke down and put my 83 Westy in the shop for new ball joints,
tie rod ends, control arm bushings and the works.
I bought the parts from Bus Depot and that was to only saving grace of
this transaction.
Total with my parts and the labor at the local shop is going to stretch
out to about $400.00 and I figure that it works out better than me doing
the work myself.
I have a definite aversion to automobile springs that goes back a long
way.
Considering that the old parts have 290K on them I'm expecting some
improvement, although it wasn't giving me any problems that I was aware
of. We'll see!
