Gang,

I am in the middle of a rear heater core and valve
replacement and there is a nagging question that is
bothering me.  I removed the heater core and valve and
plugged the supply and return lines while I await
delivery of new parts.
My question: the Bentley manual diagram shows the
on/off valve in the coolant return line, not on the
supply side of the heater core.  The vast majority of
list emails claim that the on/off valve is in the
supply to the heater core.  Am I missing something?
Is Bentley's diagram incorrect?
