Yes, it's a 'loaf'. The '82 PD-2 Converta-Van, an A.S.I. kit with bed/rear seat, table and a seat behind each of the driver and passenger's seats is listed as 3,268 lbs.(not specified whether kerb weight). These two are quite close though. Euro...haven't a clue :). -Dana- Mick Kalber wrote: > > the 241 is a loaf? so how much does the vanagon allegedly weigh allegedly. > > mick > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Dana Morphew <kadm@PUGETSOUND.NET> > To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Sent: Sunday, December 09, 2001 7:22 AM > Subject: Re: converting to 4 wheel drive > > > The Haynes lists 1425 kg. or 3135 lbs. unladen kerb weight without driver > for > > the 241, Microbus de luxe. > > > > -Dana- > > > > > > They > > > > aren't light vehicles either. > > > > > > it's all relative, andrew... they were lighter than the vanagons were > they > > > not? > > > > > > mick
