My vanagon weighs in at 5100 pounds. (sterling?). Ready to rock and roll. Syncro Westie with an additional 160lbs in the back. How to do that. Empty the van. Drive to the nearest dump or gravel purveyor or fruit scale. Pay em to weigh the van. Front then rear. Record the numbers. Fit out the van for expedition to whereever. Do the trick again. Now you pretty much know the real truth on the weight of the critter. The Sacto dump scale is accurate to ~50lbs. They didn't charge. pensioner
