I've read with interest the strings on the tiico conversion.  What are the
options while maintaining the Vanagon automatic transmission.  I like the
automatic, but with the 1.9, it's pretty anemic in the Westy.  I know the
Subaru conversion can be done, but as many have pointed out, it may be
better to keep it all VW.
