Happy Friday, List!

What's in my CD case right now??

The Allman Brothers--Live at the Fillmore
Widespread Panic--Light Fuse, Get Away
                --Space Wrangler
                --Mom's Kitchen
The Who--Live at Leeds
Neil Young--Harvest
The Clash--London Calling
Dave Brubeck--Jazz Goes to College
The Best of Jerry Jeff Walker

In the player currently, and a good way to get to work on Friday:

Rolling Stones--Exile on Main Street

On a sad note, I quit smoking today. My head hurts very, very badly.

On a happy note, I got my K&N filter yesterday and I can tell that my
Vanagon loves it!!

Okay. It's almost Fry-day. That means it's time for a topic that's
almost, but not quite, entirely unrelated to our Vanagons. Music. We all
drive our buses here and there - daily drivers, like me, or intrepid
travelers chasing the horizon, searching for that ideal out-of-the-way
campsite, spare parts, or a six-pack to go. And if you are anything like
me you play a tape or a CD to wile away the miles. It is, after all, a
slower journey that calls, at times, for something other than the passing
scenery to make it interesting.

I found a tape that I made a few years ago for my maiden journey to Buses
by the Tunnel. Here's a sample:

"Crawling for the Wreckage" -- Dave Edmonds
"Fat Boy Rag" -- Asleep at the Wheel
"My Babies the Star of a Drivers Ed Movie" -- Blotto
"Speed Racer" -- Devo
"Home" -- Iggy Pop
"Autobahn" -- Kraftwerk
"Mexican Radio" -- Wall of Voodoo
"Pulled Up" -- Talking Heads
"Grey Matter" -- Oingo Boingo
"Snowbound Blues" -- Albert Collins
"Birth, School, Work, Death" -- Godfathers

So what's in you're tape deck, MP3, or CD player? Song title and artist,
please. Just for fun...
