   A quick and dirty solution is to use plastic storage containers.  We
use ours to hold maps, AAA Tourbooks, etc.  The length of our trips
determine which size (of two) we use, and neither impedes the copilot
much on her trips into the back.  A piece of slip-stop placed underneath
keeps them from moving around.  The downside of this arrangement is that
there's no provision for cup holders.  Those I have mounted on the doors.
