My Van is on it's third windshield since July 99 when I aquired it  ( the
windshield was broken at the time )
I always drop waaay back from gravel and log trucks.    The last time:  I saw
the rock catapult from the car in front
of  me as it accelerated on the freeway on ramp.  It hit right in thee field
of vision of the passenger and instantly cracked
about 8 inches or so to the pillar.
