BTDT During the summer of 2000 I reno'ed the inside of my van and insulated with pink fibreglass, urethane foam and rubberised asphalt membrane. The self- adhesive membrane made by EMCO - "Progard" "Plastized" asphalt with a polyethylene membrane on one side and adhesive on the other. I posted the details posted then. You might find it in the err, ahem... archives? :) Alistair albell@uvic.ca '82 Westy, diesel=>I4 gas /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign \ / No HTML/RTF in email X No Word docs in email / \ Respect Open Standards! > > Hey - I have a thought - completely untested... > > I went to that B-Quiet website and couldn't help but think, except > for the alumized flavors, that the stuff looked a lot like rolled > roofing membrane - Ice & Water Shield, Bituthene, etc. - these are > rubberized asphalt / HPDE, self-adhesive films that I'd bet would > be even less expensive /sq.ft. than B-Quiet...
