Hey, I just installed a one wire type on mine that I got from Napa. My vanagon is a 83.5, 84 model year. I don't think you should ground it. I ran my beast for a couple a years without it. Not on purpose. I think you could expect less performance, fuel economy and the works. It should run however. John >>> Rio Rafael <rior@GARLIC.COM> 01/09 12:54 PM >>> Hi everyone: I am putting my 85 GL back together, and can get it running this weekend, *IF* I leave off the o2 sensor (can't get it unstuck from old exhaust system...). What can I expect from my engine if it is run without the o2 sensor? Will it run satisifactorily? Should I do anything with the lead (IE ground it or...??) Which replacemnt to buy, the 1 wire type or the factory type? Thanks and Regards, Rio
