I'm getting a humming sound from the rear end of my '84 vanagon. It has a
new set of tires on back there, so I'm not SURE if they're the problem or
not.  The symptoms are-

it happens at high speeds (45+)
it gets louder when I turn
it sometimes is on the left, and sometimes on the right!  (WEIRD!)

I thought it might be wheel bearings, but it switches sides! Very odd.
Anyone have anything like this happen?
