I bought my first VW in 1983.  Sr year High School.  It was a 1968 VW Bus.
Ran like a top but was rusting away from under me.  Drove around, to School
every day, Jersey shore with my H.S. Sweet Heart (now my wife of 15 1/2
years)...  Bought a New Bug in 1998 (traded in for Honda Accord because we
adopted our third child, 2 seats in the back of the Bug).  Bought the 1985
Vanagon GL in 1999.  I just turned 37...
