i am 37 and this is my first vw, my first van.  same with my wife.  my
family did  have a '78 dasher wagon we bought new that was HORRIBLE, and
so my view of volkswagens was tainted.  but i always remember a friend's
mother's splittie walkthrough we used to go to after-school stuff in
when i was a 6 year old...what a neat car, with those rubber floor mats
and that *smell*.
