have you tried a ball joint seperator, also know as
the pickle fork? maybe a few blows with a hammer will
pop it out, but don't hit the ball joint with the
hammer, hit the steering knuckle it is in, or i think
it is the knuckle anyway...i had an episode where i
could not get the tie rod ends out of the knuckle, and
about ten HARD blows to the knuckle and they poped
right out....i have never removed the lower ball
joint, but plan on replacing them in the future, and
if i could not get them out, i might try the hammer,
but i might also wait for the "sage like advice", as
this is not it.....
