I'm getting about 13 mpg combined city and country. Automatic transmission, 199,000 km (120,000 miles), recently tuned up. I just noticed tonight that, when the VW is warm, it's idling at about 1600 rpm. Suggestions for improving my mileage? One mechanic is suggesting replacing the oxygen sensor.
