Hi all!

I've been off the list for a couple of years. I owned a ''71 Westy for about 10 years (www.scottandmaggie.com) and sold it. I've got the itch for Westy again and think I would like to get a Vanagon this time around. 

I watched the list long enough to know about the "head" problems that the WBX engines had/have. I've been wondering if there is one year better than another. I'd like to get a later model 89-91. Am I better off closer to the '91? If the head work has been done well (maybe a big assumption) is the problem minimized? Can the problem really be solved or is just something one has to live with?
