Unfortunately it doesn't work that way...

It actually does work out.
One scumbag is stealing while another scumbag is getting busted and one
rats out two or three other to lighten his sentence.
If the public depended on genuine detective work to catch crininals we'd
be in worse shape.
So you see ..... if it weren't for crininals, we'd never catch any
criminals.
Now that is not supposed to make any sense so get a cop to explain it to
you someday.
