Sure I've got a mute setting but I'm not about to reset my computer for one
web site that thinks their "beep beep" is cute. THEY can tone down the cute
beep to a lower volume (but won't). I'm sure I'm not the only one that does
not go there because of it.

       Does not your computer have a MUTE setting on the sound ?  Eh !  Mine
does and I know how to use it. Better read your operators manual.
