John,

I'd check the parking brake cables underneath the van first, then pull the
rear drums to see of the parking brake cable came off of one of the rear
brakes.

I had the rear brakes on my '84 7-passenger redone in December.  Parking
brake lever, of course was much tighter than before.  On Saturday afternoon,
things changed dramatically when I pulled up on brake lever and it keep on
going up almost vertical.

What does this mean?
