Ditto to Karl's message below. Long ago when I knew even less about cars
than now, I used one of those green scrubber sponges on an old 1774 Mercedes
windshield. I had to live with the permanent scratches left by the scrubber
for many years after. No one noticed those small scratches but I did and it
reminded me of my ignorant error for years until I sold the car. FLAPS sells
appropriate scrubbers & window products.

I wish I had just asked someone first.
