It is my understanding after researching the archives that the ECUs in the Vanagons shipped to the US were different than the ones used elsewhere due to emission controls. If that is the case, can I order one straight from Germany, Canada or Mexico and get the one that has better performance? I have an 85 GL 1.9 Digijet so I can't use the Ausie Performance Chip.
